The Baby Listening Method
The Baby Listening Method is an approach to understanding babies by learning to recognize what they are communicating through their bodies and behaviors. This method draws from years of hands-on clinical work with babies and families, integrating nervous system awareness, body-based assessment, co-regulation, and a deep respect for babies as mammals whose bodies and brains expect touch, movement, and connection.
Baby Listening Method Foundations
Foundations is a two-day immersive training that introduces the core principles and practices of the Baby Listening Method.
Participants learn to observe babies through a nervous system lens, recognize common tension and compensation patterns, and understand how babies are shaped by their experiences during pregnancy, birth, and early life. Together we explore how the body, nervous system, reflexes, environment, and function interact to influence a baby's comfort, movement, feeding, sleep, and regulation.
The first day focuses on building a framework for understanding what babies are communicating through their bodies, states, and behaviors. We explore common archetypal patterns, practical assessment tools, and ways to think clearly about what we are observing.
The second day deepens these foundations through hands-on partner practice. Participants learn to use touch as a way of listening rather than doing, developing greater sensitivity, pacing, presence, and awareness. Through guided exercises, participants practice tuning into their own nervous systems and noticing the subtle responses that emerge through light, attentive contact. Rather than focusing on techniques to fix or intervene, we focus on cultivating the skills of observation, perception, and attuned response.
Throughout the training, participants are encouraged to slow down, trust what they are noticing, and develop confidence in their ability to notice and respond to what babies are communicating.
Foundations is designed for birth and lactation professionals, bodyworkers, manual therapists, parents and caregivers, and others who work closely with babies and families and want a deeper understanding of infant nervous system organization.
Registration includes lifetime access to Foundations Online, giving participants the opportunity to revisit concepts, demonstrations, and course materials at their own pace as their understanding continues to develop over time.
This training is educational in nature and is not a clinical certification.

Baby Listening Method Foundations Online
Coming Soon
Foundations Online introduces the core principles, concepts, and framework of the Baby Listening Method in a self-paced format.
This course explores how babies communicate through their bodies, states, movement patterns, and behaviors, and how pregnancy, birth, and early life experiences can influence a baby's comfort, feeding, sleep, movement, and regulation. Participants learn to observe babies through a nervous system lens while developing a deeper understanding of common tension and compensation patterns, primitive reflexes, co-regulation, and infant nervous system organization.
Through video lessons, demonstrations, and clinical examples, participants will learn the foundational concepts that guide the Baby Listening Method and develop a framework for thinking clearly about what babies may be communicating through their bodies and behaviors.
Foundations Online is designed for birth and lactation professionals, bodyworkers, manual therapists, parents and caregivers, and anyone who works closely with babies and families and wants a deeper understanding of infant nervous system organization.
While the online course provides a comprehensive introduction to the concepts and observational skills of the Baby Listening Method, it does not include the hands-on partner practice and experiential Listening Through Touch training offered in the in-person Foundations course.

Clinical Mentorship
Clinical Mentorship is a three-day, one-to-one mentorship for practitioners who have completed Baby Listening Method Foundations and want to deepen their understanding of what babies are communicating through their bodies and behaviors, refine their ability to think clearly about what they are observing, and gain confidence applying Baby Listening principles in practice.
Participants will accompany Jen during two days of home and office visits, observing real client sessions while discussing assessments, clinical reasoning, treatment approaches, and observations throughout the day. The third day consists of a Baby Lab where participants spend a few hours applying what they have learned with real babies, and an integration session to discuss, reflect, and deepen understanding.
Mentorship participants will have access to Jen via Marco Polo for three months to discuss cases, ask questions, and share insights as they begin integrating the work into practice.
Completion of Baby Listening Method Foundations is required prior to participation in Clinical Mentorship.
